with the barbie name I was expecting the quality of the barbie to be much better. Every barbie I have seen has had the nice legs that you are able to bend these legs were made out of plastic. Made cheaply. Also after I bought the barbie amazon lowered their price on it.

Fun but made cheeply!!

This doll is made from very cheap plastic. The sword broke within 30 seconds of my daughter playing with it and the tiara is hard to move down into the mask position (for my four year old). I found that if you squeeze the head and then push it down it will work much better. The necklace didnt stay on at all and was lost within a few hours of play. The clothes and the tiara can be removed but her legs are pink not tan. And after two days of play the dress is ripping around the shoulder!!!

On the brighter side the clothes are very pretty and it is easy for my daughter to switch the skirt and the cape around. I also love the pink boots which come up almost to the dolls knees. Overall my daughter loves this doll and there is tons of room for her imagination to grow. She is already getting into the story line. She doesnt care or even notice the doll is made with cheap plastic and was fine with a tapped sword and really her opinion is the one that matters!!! More detail ...

Not my dream doll...

I loved the concept of this doll and was so excited to see her on local shelves. I was very disappointed however when I saw her up close. Her face is so unrealistic and so "unBarbie" to me. Of course I am of the first generation of Barbie fans and never have liked the large heads but she almost has a scary look to me. Her hair was also horrible--the ones I saw had very skimpy hair and it looked as though it needed shampooing. The doll did not look at all like the promotional photos I had seen even the dress material looked cheap although I do love the print. I left her on the shelf for someone else to buy and hope some of the other new Barbies will have more appeal to me.More detail ...

Fine for what it is

Despite being in the more premier line of barbie dolls for little girls (the ones meant for movies) this and the other dolls in this line are surprisingly vanilla. They don't sing or have any other gimmicks. The cape can make a dress and that's about it. The dress itself is rather plain and like the previous movies the doll looks nothing like the dvd counterpart.



I wish this doll sang like the others - that was the real draw for my 6 year old to buy this. Plus the character in the DVD never even used a sword. It would have been nice if this doll had the same weapon from the movie rather than the generic rapier.



Of note the sword broke in half on the very first day! Then my daughter didn't want to play with it any more because it was the toy she broke. :(More detail ...
